If you want to sort a list especially when you want to sort by using elements of collections. At this time you can use sort function of Collections class.
First, let’s see a simple example:

List<Integer> nums = new ArrayList<Integer>();
nums.add(3);
nums.add(5);
nums.add(1);
nums.add(0);
System.out.println(nums);
Collections.sort(nums);
System.out.println(nums);
}
The result will be:
[3, 5, 1, 0]
[0, 1, 3, 5]
