Our group did rough and dirty prototype and presented our ideas to other groups this week.Here is the summary of our idea:

Our scenario is in the bus stop where is a public space in the city and involve some possibilities to find design opportunity through data from citizens and tourists.

And the design opportunity is when people wait bus in the bus stop, we offer products to make the space in the bus stop cozier and much comfortable which is a part of our design system.The design system is a rewarding system in the bus stop which can reward people with virtual currency when they share their data(like their walking steps to the bus stop).The data the system recognizes is these can be recorded by users’ cellphone automatically and also related to the behavior that walking to the bus station or taking bus to somewhere, etc.

After playing the idea out to other group, we got some feedbacks from classmates, like

1.Pay more attention to the privacy of the data when we want to encourage people to upload their personal data in our design.

2.The idea of rewarding people who share data with virtual currency is good, and maybe you guys can also think about using the virtual currency to get more related service like rewarding users one free bus trip.

3.The interactive process of the system need to consider more human factors and common sense, like how the rewarding system in the bus stop will change in different conditions like windy or snowy weather.

And also, we got some suggestions from teachers and the lady from council which are very helpful for us to further develop the idea, here are some key words of the suggestion:
