The tables illustrate sales of Fairtrade*-labelled coffee and bananas in UK, Switerland , Denmark , Belgium , and Sweden in 1999 and in 2004.

Switerland sold 3 millions of euros in coffee in 1999 , which is twice more than that in UK, and increased to 6 milllions euros in 2004. The sales in Denmark rose from £1.8 million in 1999 to £2 million in 2004. In 1999 Sweden had the least sales, just £0.8 million.The sale of in UK increased a lot from £1.5 million in 1999 to £20 million in 2004.

As for sales of Fairtrade-labelled bananas. In 1999, Switzerland sold 15 millions of euros in bananas and had a huge increase to £47 million in 2004 . Denmark sold £2 million , twice as big as that in UK, while Belgium just sold 0.6. The sales in UK and Belgium increased to £5.5 million and £4 million in 2004 respectively.

In conclusion, sales of coffee in UK are the biggest in 2004, while sales of bananas in Switzerland in 2004 are the biggest too.
