regular expression matching

‘.’ Matches any single character.
‘*’ Matches zero or more of the preceding element.

The matching should cover the entire input string (not partial).

The function prototype should be:
bool isMatch(const char s, const char p)

Some examples:
isMatch(“aa”,”a”) → false
isMatch(“aa”,”aa”) → true
isMatch(“aaa”,”aa”) → false
isMatch(“aa”, “a“) → true
isMatch(“aa”, “.
“) → true
isMatch(“ab”, “.“) → true
isMatch(“aab”, “c
a*b”) → true

bool isMatch(const char *s, const char *p) {
if(*p == 0) return *s == 0;
if(*(p+1) == '*'){
while((*p == '.' && *s != 0)|| *p == *s){
if(isMatch(s,p+2)) return true;
s++;
}
return isMatch(s,p+2);
}
else{
if((*p == '.' && *s != 0)|| *p == *s)
return isMatch(s+1,p+1);
return false;
}
}
